  • Understanding Application Letter

Before applying for a job, usually applicants will be asked to make an application letter or cover letter. What is an application letter? According to the Cambridge Dictionary, application letter is a letter that you write to a company when you are applying for a job. A job application letter is a letter written to a company when someone applies for a job. The letter is addressed to the part of the company that will select the application letter, usually the personnel department or Human Research and Development (HRD).
Through the cover letter, the company will know about the identity and qualifications of the applicant, as well as the position to be applied for. Usually a resume or CV is included to provide details about the applicant's abilities and experience.


  • Application Letter Purpose
According to Colorado State University, its main objective is to get the applicant in the door for an interview and must be written well enough to attract the attention and interest of the person with the power to recommend or grant one. The main purpose of the application letter is to give the applicant an opportunity for an interview, it must be written well enough to attract the attention and interest of the person authorized to recommend or grant it. In short, an application letter can make the company interested in inviting us to the next stage of job recruitment, such as an interview test or a written test.
